Jan has 45 years of practical experience in international business, corporate finance, emerging markets, cross-cultural management, corporate governance, and sustainability. He is the co-founder and CEO of InterMatrix Group, an advisory firm with subsidiaries and affiliates in 15 countries, working with Fortune 200 multinational corporations.
He has pioneered and been actively involved in responsible business practices and ESG throughout his career, incorporating them into every aspect of company operations. He is a partner at CET Capital Partners and an independent director of listed and entrepreneurial companies. He is a former director and trustee of the International Business Leaders Forum, and co-founder and trustee of IBLF Global, an NGO focusing on the business integrity and responsible business practices agenda. He is an advisory board member of Ocean14 Capital (Impact fund), chairman of Island Beverages UK Ltd, and a mentor in the Imperial College Venture Mentoring Service.
He is also the founder and managing trustee of the John Ryder Memorial Trust, his family foundation. He is passionate about furthering cross-cultural understanding and supporting the charities he is involved with.
When not working, he tries to improve his tennis and golf (with mixed results) and enjoys studying and watching grand opera.
