Food and Drinks Sector: Does sustainability drive consumer choice?

15 May 2024

We have been conducting a new piece of research into how influential sustainability issues are in driving consumer choice in food and drink purchasing. We polled consumers in the UK and the USA drawn from a broad demographic range to gauge what kind of influence sustainability issues have. Do consumers ever make choices based on food sourcing, packaging or perceived brand ‘promise’ ahead of price or taste?  If so, which sustainability drivers have the greatest influence?

We’ll be providing details on what we found at an in-person breakfast briefing in London, scheduled for 21 May.

We are delighted that we will be joined by a terrific panel to debate how food and drinks companies consider sustainability as a driver of consumer choice:

Nick Hindle (Chair) – International Corporate Affairs Executive and C-suite adviser, formerly Arla & McDonald's

Sam Fulton – Group Director Corporate Affairs & Sustainability, Nomad Foods

Chris Hogg – Global Head of Public Affairs, Nestlé

Shanna Wendt – Vice President Communications, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP)

The breakfast briefing will be held at the Conduit Club, 6 Langley Street, Covent Garden, commencing at 8:00 for 8:30am and concluding at 10:30am.
