The winners of the 2022 Britain's Most Admired Companies study are announced today.
Run by independent Expert Witnesses in corporate and brand reputation, Echo Research, in partnership with Coventry University, the study is the longest-running independent survey of its kind on corporate reputation in the UK, now in its 33rd year.
In this annual benchmark, C-suite business leaders across the FTSE and their financial analysts are invited to rate companies in their sector, based on a set of 13 criteria ranging from Quality of Management, Quality of Products and Services, Financial Soundness and Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) through to Innovation, Inspirational Leadership and the Ability to Attract and Retain Talent.
Congratulations to Legal & General, this year’s overall winner topping 12 of the 13 criteria in the financial services sector to become this year’s Britain's Most Admired company.
In a separate award, Lord Simon Wolfson, long-term CEO of retailer Next plc, is yet again voted ‘Most Admired Leader’ of a British business.
ESG, Talent and Innovation were identified by interviewees as the reputational criteria growing in importance reflecting the challenges faced by British businesses.
