Britain's Most Admired Companies 2021

14 February 2022

In the country’s longest-running corporate reputation survey of its kind, more than 300 FTSE directors and industry analysts/commentators shared their views of Britain’s leading organisations, assessing how they were seen to be facing up to commercial markets significantly changed by the global Covid pandemic.

Congratulations to design and engineering company Arup, whose vision is to create a more sustainable future, balancing the needs of people, places and planet for winning overall in the study. And to Pascal Soriot, CEO of AstraZeneca who was voted the UK’s most admired business leader. 2021 was defined by transition.

With the pandemic here to stay, Britain's business leaders now face the challenges of remote working, employee wellbeing and attracting and/or retaining talent.

While ESG is emerging as a critical reputational driver, there was no change in the top three reputation drivers seen as most important among professional stakeholders: the quality of the products and services, quality of management, and financial soundness.

See this year’s findings from the longest-running and best-established corporate reputation study in the UK, Britain’s Most Admired Companies from Echo Research. Published in Management Today this week, this year’s study acknowledges British success in super quick transformational leadership and resilient team work to adapt and deliver success.
